Hello and Welcome to the New Year!  I hope each of you had a very Happy & Healthy Christmas and Hanukkah!  The Spokes-Women Motorcycle Club has new members, new officers and I have a new puppy named Jeter!  I guess “new beginnings” will be the theme for this January 2008 Message from the President!

The new Board of Officers met for the first time on December 30, 2007.  So briefly, this is what will be new for our membership.  Thanks to our Web Master, Donna Warren, your website has a new organized look.  Adrienne, together with membership assistance, will be developing a new ride schedule.  Linda proposed a “Member to Member Assistance Program” that will be presented at January’s general meeting.  Anne Marie will be our new “Meet & Greet” person at our new “Welcome Table.”  Janet will be tackling our biggest challenges for Web Site Security with our new permission list, and assisting with our annual fund raiser.  Stephanie will be recording each syllable of our meetings, keeping track of our banner, assisting with promoting the club, and be our most valuable recording asset.  Last and far from least, Kathy will be attending AMA meetings as a representative of Spokes-Women.

So what’s left for me to do you may ask?  Write these wonderful, informative and new monthly messages from the President, of course!  However, all that writing aside, I would like to pass along a very important message to the membership that I was recently reminded of.

Spokes-Women Motorcycle Club is YOUR club!  The club only exists because of YOU!  A few members cannot make our club the best it can be!  We need your help!!!!  Come to the meetings, come on the rides, come be part of the FAMILY of Spokes-Women riders!  Each of us has a responsibility toward one another.  We are only as strong as the weakest link.  Whether you are a new member or long-standing one, let us all share in a new journey where road and rider come together as one.
