The picture above is an aerial view of the Cherohala Skyway. The Skyway is becoming well known in motorcycling and sports car circles for it's long, sweeping corners and scenic views.

Beginning at Santeetlah Gap on the North Carolina side at elevation 2660 feet, the road quickly twists and ascends to the highest overlook at 5390 feet. The roads ends in Tellico Plains, Tennessee.

The roads in both of these videos are actually in California but the look and feel from the saddle is pretty much the same as what we experienced on out club trip to Athens...only the surrounding scenery is different. This second road is similar to many of the roads we took in the Cherokee, NC and Gatlinburg, TN area.
