| I just wanted to give everyone
a quick update on Betty and her pageant debut at the International Motorcycle
Show at the Jacob Javits Center in New York this past weekend. I also
wanted to thank everyone who came out and not only enjoyed the show, but
took the time to cast your vote for her. Though she was one of the crowd
favorites, she didn't win - but did receive an "honorable" mention.
Check out the details at www.motorcycleshows.com and click on the NYC
Winners link.
One consolation is that out of 24 bikes showing, she was only one of three
that actually gets ridden - all the others were strictly show bikes and
unrideable (and not even registered or tagged). Plus, she was the ONLY
metric cruiser of the bunch. So all in all, she showed well against some
pretty stong competition. There were some beautiful bikes there, for sure.
I had her professionally detailed by A&M Custom Motorcycle Detailing.
Some folks had asked me for the information, and they can be reached at
(732) 738-0452. They pick and deliver for a VERY reasonable price and
are a father and son operation. Just ask for Anthony or Mike. Let them
know I sent ya and mention the Betty Boop bike - they'll know.
I think I may show Betty in the upcoming Northeast Motorcycle Expo at
the Garden State Exhibit Center in Somerset, NJ on Feb 10th & 11th.
If you are interested in going, there are $2 off discount coupons for
your entrance ticket on the website. I figured this is the cleanest Betty
will ever be, so I might as well take advantage of it. If you decide to
go, make sure you vote since this one is for money and not just for bragging
rights! LOL...
Thanks everyone, for your support. See y'all soon!
Love, Mar
