First Polar Bear Ride
by Laura Sisto

Nancy met up with her friend Al below.

Al was a little leery of the previous patron below..

The first Polar Bear ride went very well, Jan, Deborah, Nancy, Pita and I met at the Paneras in North Brunswick...the weather was a little cool when Pita and I left, but by the time we got there it was warm. We met up with Nancy's friend Bob (blue bike) at the Valero Gas station on 539 just before Allentown. It was a good stop, they all needed gas and I needed the Ladies Room.

I noticed that Jan's bike was leaking oil, and it was a good thing I did because she was a quart low. Looks like she may have a gasket leak. There was also another Polar Bear getting gas, Jan asked if he want to join us for the ride, so Jerry from Robbinsville joined us on the trip down. (red bike)

We got to Cape May about 1pm, the street was packed with bikes, but inside the VFW it was pretty calm.

We signed in, stood around talking to people then got ready to leave for lunch.

We went to two different restaurants trying to find one open before going to a pizza place.

All in all we had a great ride.
